NOTICE OF SPECIAL MEETING, PUBLIC HEARING ON 2024 BUDGET AND BOARD MEETING
PLEASE TAKE NOTICE that the Board of Fire Commissioners of the Fairview Fire District will convene in-person and/or by telephone conference call on October 17, 2023 at 6:00 PM for a special meeting on the proposed 2024 Budget for the Fairview Fire District. The first order of business at the Meeting will be to present the proposed 2024 Budget, after which the Board will open a Public Hearing on the Proposed Budget, for the purpose of hearing comment from all persons wishing to address the Board on the proposed Budget. Once the Public Hearing is closed the Board will open its normally scheduled Board Meeting.
The Proposed Budget is available for inspection by any interested person during office hours at: the office of the Fire District Secretary, in the Fairview Firehouse, 258 Violet Avenue, Poughkeepsie; at the office of the Town of Poughkeepsie Town Clerk, 1 Overocker Road, Poughkeepsie NY 12603; at the office of the Town of Hyde Park Town Clerk, 4383 Albany Post Road, Hyde Park, NY 12538; and online at www.fairviewfd.net
ALSO PLEASE TAKE NOTICE that meetings of the Board will be conducted as hybrid meetings: Commissioners, staff and the public may attend the meeting in-person or virtually via the Zoom conferencing platform. Instructions for the public to view and listen to the meeting or participate in hearings via Zoom are posted on the District’s website.
Interested members of the public may attend the Meeting by telephone conference call using the Zoom Call Number and Meeting Code below.
When the Board opens the Public Hearing, members of the public wishing to be heard may use Zoom’s Raise Hand function to request an opportunity to speak. To allow all interested parties to be heard, the Chairman may restrict the time for oral comments, but the Board of Fire Commissioners welcomes written comments, which may be submitted by email to the District Secretary at secretary@fairviewfd.net or by mail to the Board of Fire Commissioners, 258 Violet Ave, Poughkeepsie, NY 12601 prior to the start of the meeting.
